You will have to describe "flop" to me. Do you mean a meeting/event that has failed to meet it's goals, or, there were so many planning errors that the meeting/event was a complete disaster?

If you are referring to the first assumption, I have never been involved with a meeting that hasn't met it's goals. Now there have been some meetings where the goals were set so low that of course the event didn't accomplish much. This is to be expected.

As far as the second assumption, I don't allow my mind or imagination to even go there. If you are doing your job as a meeting professional how can "everything" fall apart? The only time a meeting may entirely stop is due to an emergency. At times, a sign may be misplaced, or something that was shipped was not received, but the meeting does go on!
